About Me: Known as the little famous band that is quite known for huge, almost anthemic hits—the three souls in the lineup building on the rock sensibilities of Ebe’s songwriting, SUGARFREE remains to gain mainstream recognition as one of the country’s energetic performers in the rock scene. Composed of Kaka Quisumbing on drums, Jal Taguibao on bass, and Ebe Dancel on vocals, Sugarfree is a three-piece band heavily influenced by the likes of Popsicle, Oasis, and Radiohead. Though they draw from a varied number of influences, they sound very different from any of their heroes. Their original lineup was with the former drummer Mitch Singson (The Pin-up Girls, Ciudad) who left the band in 2006.
