About Me:
|
THE FOUR PIECE INDIE OUTFIT formed in 2005 in the onset of independent rock band resurgence, Menaya has transgressed from being canadian indie artirst Emm Gryner's front act to becoming a dominant player in the airwaves with hit singles, "Pikon" and " What If"- radio favorites from their first album aptly named RUN. The two singles ran way up in the charts and hit the top spots in the local music mediums that same year.
Now after a three-year hiatus, MENAYA makes a scene comeback with its second album "The Worst News". The latest collection Menaya originals conveys a more cohesive, definitve Menaya sound, with its resounding drumbeats, divergent guitar riffs and wide-range vocals- reminiscent of the new wave beat and Canadian/British indie rock melodia.
Featured on its latest album is the transitional track, Safer- which is currently heard in the airwaves imposes a more definitive Menaya groove, Station 1- beautiful summer song and A New Chapter- an unconventional track featuring a promising band, The SpaceFlower Show.
