About Me: KENYO is a Filipino pop-alternative band that is the outcome of the group's common passion to produce music that is fun, care-free, flexible, honest, witty and significant. Kenyo hails from Bulacan, a province north of Manila, which is considered as the cradle of Philippine poetry and traditional songs of love or the "kundiman". Formed in 2008, KENYO's potential was immediately recognized that it was soon signed under major label Universal Records, Philippines. The band already had a successful tour of the United States on September of 2008. Kenyo is scheduled to be back for another tour of the US and Japan on the summer of 2009. Their first offering - RADIOSURFING - is a project album comprising radio-friendly covers from the 80s arranged and recorded in well-thought and executed manner. Radiosurfing is a nostalgic piece of work which serves as a musical scrapbook of Philippine "mainstream" radio cleverly presented to suit the modern ear. The group is now at work with their upcoming all-originals album. Kenyo's inkling towards the sweet sound of the past, pop sensibilities and edgy musical approach make the band a delight to listen to.
