One was fine. Two was just too much, Three why’d you do that to me?
No, fans would never ask—sing these lines to this band as they launch three outstanding and very engaging music videos for all the people to devour.

The first video, Blind was directed by Juan “Johnny” Alcazaren. The playful video showing drawings of Juan Alcazaren and photographed by Ben Chan in index cards using colored pens and pencils. The video is bizarrely intriguing in its simplicity. The flipping pages, the funny looking and oddly-named pictures was just enough to give a childish simplicity to the music video.

The second video, Turning Grey was directed by Jelise Chung. The video was literally DARK. The lighting, the setting, the story of the video was a little too gloomy. With the ominous setting, Turning Grey showed of indescribable brutality as one person tried to kill each of himself in the music video. The metaphor of trying to defeat one part of you is boxed in a good two minute video.

The third and last video, which is probably my favorite, was Bloodletting. It was directed by Jason Tan, alongside with Bernard Dacanay for the breathtaking underwater shots.
With the brilliant and graceful movements of Annicka Dolonius and Shawn Yao, the video showed how at times, falling in love could be compared to swimming in an endless pitch black of uncertainty and finding a light and thinking that you don’t really need air because all you need is that feeling. Until realization hits, and suddenly, you gasp for air that isn’t there… because you never even tried looking for it in the first place.
Drip has successfully created three remarkable pieces thanks to equally talented directors, Juan Alcazaren, Jelise Chung and Jason Tan. Three music videos that were just perfect for the haunting, mysterious voice of Beng Calma-Alcazaren.
