Formed by the members of two genre-defining bands, Intolerant’s music is a mixture of traditional thrash metal combined with borrowed elements from death, stoner metal, hardcore and even classic rock n’ roll. Currently doing the rounds in the local underground music circuit and even appearing at major music events, the band's sound has been turning heads and smashing eardrums for the latter part of 2007 into 2008.
having released a 5-song EP (which is being distributed for free at the band's gigs and re-distributed via the internet), fans of the hard, heavy and adventurous already have staple faves like the sludgefest "Death Toll Rising," and/or the anthemic crowd chant "God of War." Old school metal fans will definitely recognize the thrash metal-like guitar work on "My Demise," and fans of the more modern subgenres of metal can definitely relate to tracks like the moody ballad "Shift" and the charging urgency of "Last Standing."
Featuring Skychurch vocalist/bassist Russell dela Cruz (who now plays guitar and handles main vocal duties), Skychurch guitarist Joey Dizon on lead guitar and former Loss of Control members Mic Gallegos and Pepo Gohu (on bass and drums respectively…), Intolerant is dead-set in the process of making heavy metal even more creative, and open-minded– without abandoning the speed and brutality factor. Intolerant is both a toast to the old and a warm welcome to the new.
