About Me: Devilishly original, Gorgoro is the first and only rock band to have a living, singing puppet -- a pink, sharp-toothed monster -- on lead vocals. Call him the ultimate 'renaissance puppet', Gregorio "Gorgoro" Henson is both chief songwriter and charismatic frontpuppet of the new Britpop-inspired band, Gorgoro. Gorgoro is composed of Gorgoro on vocals, Billy Reyes on lead guitar (from Stonefree), Jeng Tan on bass (from seminal girl-group Kelt's Cross and the Pin-up Girls), Manix Abrera on rhythm guitar, Meh Reyes on synth and Jovi Reyes on drums (both from Matilda). Gorgoro writes music both in Filipino and English, (thanks to his American puppet lineage.) He is, however, heavily influenced by European sense and sensibilities, like Blur, Radiohead, Coldplay, and of course, The Beatles. No doubt, Gorgoro is a puppet on a mission -- to finally find and meet his biological father, Animal of the Muppet Show’s sensational band Dr. Teeth & the Electric Mayhem. Gorgoro is hell-bent on finding his spot in the limelight in order to (somehow, somewhere) get recognition from his estranged father. Gorgoro’s challenging childhood – searching for his identity and passion as well as his quest to meet his Dad – motivates him to express himself through music. That’s why he never fails to urge today’s youth to go out and do what they really love. Gorgoro’s enduring drive and “against all odds” attitude already inspires people of all ages, of all nationalities through his gigs, blogs, numerous tv news appearances, among others. Gorgoro is nearing completion of its debut album, featuring the hard-hitting post-punk song, "You Had Your Chance But You Blew It."
