Quezon City based band, Faintlight, began in the summer of 2005. Initially was named "Melodramatic Diaries" with Tony Abellon on bass and Roni Callanta on vocals. After months of playing around the metro, the band soon fell out. But the three members namely, Dave Pimentel, Ron Dela Cruz and Bryan Gadia kept in touch with the music. For a year and a half. the trio wrote and practiced their music even with missing members.
In July of 2007, luck struck when the band met Jourdan Dimailig and Emil Dela Rosa who were soon to fill in the missing pieces of this musical puzzle. Their musical influences was an explicit manifestation that the band is back on track. Wanting to diverge from the band's old sound, Faintlight was born. A touch of their old roots with a new profound sound and style. With this new found hope, Faintlight vowed to give it's audience an illuminative sound and captivating live performances.
